Korean Names & Topics

Songsaegnim = Men / Teacher (attached to their surname or full name)

One would say "Songsaenim" with the Surname ( Yoo Songsaegnim ) or with the full name ( Yoo SangHyun Songsaegnim )

When you use the ssi, say the name without the surname, such as SangHyun-ssi.

Describing how things are

1. Ottaeyo = How is

For Example,

Songsaengnim ottaeyo? = How is teacher ? / What is teacher like?
Saob ottaeyo? = How is business? / What is business like?

2. Kuraeyo = It is like that (May be used such as "It's like that", "Thats right", "It is")

On the other hand it may be used as a question, for example

Kuraeyo? = is it like that? / really? / is that so?

3. -un / -nun = As for (Business) / As for (me)

-nun is attached to a noun, whereas -un is attached to a vowel.

 For example,

Soju-nun = As for soju...(Sentence continues)
Songsaengnim-un = As for teacher...(Sentence continues)
